#15 Dakota Wesleyan too much for Tigers in Florida

#15 Dakota Wesleyan too much for Tigers in Florida

After a morning match to start the 2022 season against Faulkner, the Georgetown Tigers (0-2) had a quick turnaround to prepare for #15 Dakota Wesleyan in the Keiser University Chick-fil-A Classic. Georgetown struggled out of the gates and could not recover as the Tigers were beaten in straight sets by Dakota Wesleyan, 25-10, 25-18, and 25-9.

Similar to the season-opener against Faulkner, Georgetown could not find its offense in the opening set, while Dakota Wesleyan (1-0) came out on fire, hitting .500 in the opener to run away with a 25-10 1st set triumph.

Georgetown once more found life on offense in the 2nd set with 10 kills but could not handle the offensive efficiency DWU brought throughout the match. It led to a 25-18 2nd set win for Dakota Wesleyan.

Errors would be the Tigers undoing in set 3 as the Tigers tallied 9 of them and combined with DWU's offense, GC just couldn't find a way back as the 3rd set went to DWU, 25-9. Georgetown tallied 24 attack errors in the match to just 7 for Dakota Wesleyan.

The Tigers will look to bounce back in the Day 1 finale against Keiser University.
