Volleyball earns 5-seed for MSC Tournament

Georgetown Volleyball earned the 5th-seed for the upcoming Mid-South Conference Tournament, as announced by conference officials.

The Tigers will take on Cumberland (TN) in the opening round on Thursday, November 7th at 1:00pm ET. The match and tournament will take place at Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, KY. The winner will take on top-seed Lindsey Wilson on Friday at 4:00pm ET. The Tigers and Phoenix split their 2 regular season meetings with each team winning on its home floor. Georgetown beat Cumberland, 3-2, on September 24th. Cumberland took a 3-1 win over the Tigers on October 29th.

Georgetown finished the MSC schedule with a 3-9 record, which tied Bethel (TN) but the Tigers had the advantage on the second tiebreaker, thus giving them the 5-seed and Bethel the 6-seed.

In other matchups, 2-seed Cumberlands takes on 7-seed, Freed-Hardeman. Campbellsville is seeded 3rd and takes on Bethel. Both matches take place on Thursday after the Georgetown-Cumberland match.
