Georgetown women's soccer began the 2023 campaign with an overwhelming performance in a 5-0 win at West Virginia Tech. The Tigers used a mix of veterans and newcomers to overwhelm the Golden Bears from the opening whistle.

The Tigers dominated possession and field position throughout the afternoon in Beckley, WV. Sophomore striker, Kylie Hudgins, got in on the fun just under 3 minutes later to give GC a 2-0 lead at the half. Georgetown outshot WV Tech 21-5 in the half, with 11 shots on goal.

In the 2nd half, the story remained the same. In the 57th minute, Carson Smith got her scoring going off a goal from Kylie Hudgins, giving each a goal and an assist on the day. The veterans gave way to the newcomers late in the match as freshmen Kendyl Rumple and Jenna Adkins each tallied their 1st collegiate goals to give the Tigers the 5-0 win.
