Thompson's 9 saves not enough vs Taylor

Georgetown fell at Taylor on Tuesday afternoon, by a 4-0 result, despite 9 saves from Daysia Thompson in goal.

The Tiger offense could not get going throughout the 90 minutes of play in Upland, IN. The team mustered just 3 shots on goal and 6 total. Conversely, Taylor put 13 shots on target and tallied 24 shots in total.

Goals in the 18th, 32nd and 44th minutes, put Taylor up 3-0 at the half. They would add one more in the 73rd minute for the final result.

Georgetown's 1st half chances came in the 4th and 12th minutes off the feet of Bekah Clark and Kylie Hudgins, respectively. The Tigers would not register another shot on goal until the final minute of the match when Carson Smith's last effort was turned away.

The team now turns its focus to the Mid-South as conference play begins on Friday night. Georgetown hosts Bethel at Toyota Stadium with a 6:00pm kickoff.
