Clark scores lone goal in loss at Campbellsville

Bekah Clark tallied a goal in the 82nd minute after a number of chances on Monday night, but it was too late as Georgetown fell at Campbellsville, 3-1 in the regular season finale.

Georgetown fired twice on goal in the opening 5 minutes, showing (RV) Campbellsville that the orange & black Tigers came for a battle. Olga Coto put a 3rd try on frame but was denied in the 12th minute. Campbellsville broke through thanks to the 1st of 2 goals from Angeline Kieh in the 13th minute. Kieh would add her 2nd in the 33rd minute to give Campbellsville a 2-0 lead at the halftime break.

The deficit would grow to 3 in the 52nd minute. Laura Beumala tried for the quick answer just seconds later but was turned away. Clark's goal came in that 82nd minute after a series of deflections in the box as Georgetown was forced to press up to get back in the match. It would be the Tigers' last threat on the night.

The chances were there for each team. Georgetown put 10 shots on goal, while Campbellsville tallied 11. Daysia Thompson recorded 8 saves in the loss.

The Tigers must now await other MSC action to conclude this week before learning their destination for the 1st round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
